PELAYANAN FAMILY BASED CARE DALAM UPAYA PEMENUHAN FUNGSI KELUARGA DI LEMBAGA KESEJAHTERAAN SOSIAL ANAK (LKSA) TAQWA AL-QOLBI MALANG

Abstract

The family becomes the primary and first place for children in obtaining the fulfilment of their rights and foster care. Some factors such as socio-economic status, family integrity factors and parents' habits can cause the fulfilment of family rights and functions to be unsatisfactory, so the role of other parties such as the Children's Social Welfare Institute is needed to strengthen such fulfillment. This qualitative descriptive research aims to identify family based care services in an effort to fulfil the family functions that exist in the the Children's Social Welfare Institute of Taqwa Al-Qolbi Malang. The data collection techniques used in this study are observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that the family based care service applied by the the Children's Social Welfare Institute as an attempt to fulfill the affection for babysitters who are in the nursery who can not feel the warmth of parents and families around them, then the the Children's Social Welfare Institute plays a role as a foster family for babies. For children outside the orphanage, the Children's Social Welfare Institute provides reinforcement for families in the fulfilment of children's rights such as providing access to education, health care, financial assistance and other family support. This family-based care service is also intended to fulfil the existing family functions, religious, social, cultural, loving, protective, reproductive, socialization, economic and environment-building functions. The advice that the researchers can give to the Children's Social Welfare Institute of Taqwa Al-Qolbi Malang is to run parenting programmes for parents and families and to add social worker workers to support proper planning for foster chil
