PENGARUH MOTIVASI KERJA DAN KOMPENSASI TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN DENGAN KEPUASAN KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PT. MARITIM BARITO PERKASA DI BANJARMASIN

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of work motivation and compensation on employee performance at PT. Maritim Barito Perkasa in Banjarmasin with the mediating role of job satisfaction. This research is a quantitative study with a population of all employees working outdoors in the company, and the samples was as many as 67 employees working in the operation, technical, and safety divisions at PT. Maritim Barito Perkasa. The data analysis technique used for hypothesis testing is structural equation analysis with the Smart-PLS 3.2.9 program. The result of this research shows that job satisfaction is at a moderate level and employee performance is also at a moderate level. Work motivation has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Compensation has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Work motivation has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Compensation has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Job satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in the influence of work motivation on employee performance.
