Abstract

Students' poor cognitive capacities, notably on the issue of Community Economic Activities, prompted this research. The blame for this lies squarely at the feet of educators, who have chosen ineffective learning paradigms and media. Teachers' continued reliance on textbooks is certain to boring their pupils to sleep. The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the efficacy of using PowerPoint presentations to introduce and facilitate problem-based learning. Thirty-eight fifth graders from SDN Sawojajar 1 in Malang City participated in the study.
