Organizational communication climate is important to create in an organization, communication climate can affect positive or negative reactions from employees, both due to internal and external factors. With a positive organizational climate, it will have an impact on improving the performance of the members in the organization. This research aims to investigate the organizational communication climate in the Corporate Communication Department of PT. Petrokimia Gresik and identify its contribution in managing employee performance. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach and used data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used in this research is the theory of motivation by W. Charles Redding which emphasizes five important aspects of organizational communication climate, these aspects include support, decision-making participation, trust, information openness, and high-performance goals. The results of this study show a clear picture of the condition of the organizational communication climate in the Corporate Communication Department of PT.Petrokimia Gresik which has not fully run effectively. This can be seen in the aspect of decision-making participation which has not involved subordinates in making decisions and several times made decisions unilaterally, so that the performance of employees issued has not been maximized
