Abstract

Learning media serves a conduit for disseminating information with specific objectives in mind, thereby the learning process runs optimally and effectively. Its pivotal roel in education underscores its significance. This study endeavours to fashion the Smart Tree (POPI) media with the aim of enchancing comprehension and fostering learning motivation among first-grade elementary students, particularly in the domain of addition. Employing the ADDIE development model, this research method navigates through five essential phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The ADDIE model, renowned for its efficacy and efficiency, is deemed well-suited for the crafting of the Smart Tree (POPI) learning media, thus meriting its application within the first-grade classrooms of SDN Pendem 01 Batu. The outcomes of the Smart Tree (POPI) learning media development initiative, concerning the subject of Mathematics for first-grade elementary students, evince commendable validation scores. Material expert assessment yield-ed a commendable rating of 78.57%, white those from learning media experts gar-nered an equally praiseworthy 78.84%. This underscores the media’s aptness for educational use, corroborated by the positive responses from first-grade students. Consequently, the Smart Tree (POPI) media emerges as a supporting tool for Mathematics learning in first-grade elementary school
