ABSTRACT According to data from BPJS employment, in 2016 there were 101,367 work accident cases, in 2017 it reached 123,041 cases, while in 2018 work accident cases reached 173,105 and there were 153,044 work accident cases in 2020. One of the causes of the high number of work accidents is negligence on the part of workers and the company's lack of confirmation in implementing SMK3L in its company, this will be very dangerous for the company, especially employees. The safety management system in the construction of construction projects uses the Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management System (SMK3L) which is in accordance with the Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012. Research was conducted to find out and evaluate whether the implementation of the SMK3L for the Semarang - Demak road construction project is in accordance with applicable regulations. The method used in this research is quantitative with data collection techniques using quisioner and observation. The sample for this research was 172 workers on the Semarang – Demak toll road project. Based on the results of the analysis regarding the Implementation of the Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management System (SMK3L) on the Semarang - Demak Toll Road project, a score of 86% was obtained, is included in the "Satisfactory" category in accordance with government regulation no. 50 of 2012 concerning Implementation of the Safety and Health Management System Work
