ANALISIS REPRESENTASI MATEMATIKA PADA PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SOAL AKM

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical representation patterns of students on problem solving giving AKM questions. The research involved 6 subjects where each level had 2 students from both low, medium and high ability students. The research approach that the author uses in this research is descriptive qualitative with the Miles and Huberman analysis process. The results showed that students' representation patterns were very good in the high ability student group where both T-1 and T-2 were able to easily state their representations both from the process of understanding the problem, planning the solution, implementing the solution plan, and checking again. Even in the group of high-ability students who were able to combine 2 or 3 representations at once at each step of solving mathematical problems. However, the lower the ability of students, it appears that they have difficulty in the mathematical representation process. Keywords: Mathematical Representation, Problem Solving, AKM
