Background: Stroke is the number one cause of disability in the world and the third cause of death in the world. Stroke is an interruption of the blood supply to the brain caused by rupture of a blood vessel or blockage by a blood clot. Post stroke patients often experience general disabilities, namely paralysis or weakness on one side of the body which can interfere with their daily functional activities. Patients with stroke will also experience various balance disorders. Impaired balance in stroke is related to the inability to regulate body weight transfer and decreased ability to move muscles so that the body's balance decreases. One effort to improve the balance of post stroke patients is through exercise on a stationary bicycle. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a literature review to find out more about the effect of static bicycles on the balance of post stroke patients.
Research Purpose: Kknowing the effect of a static bicycle on the balance of post stroke patients.
Research Methods: This research method uses the type of research Systematic Literature Review (SLR) or library research, which is a series of studies related to library data collection methods, or research where the object of research is replaced through various library information. Article or journal data for this literature review study was collected using two databases, namely Google Scholar Anda PubMed.The critera used in searching for articles or journals are journals published in 2012- 2023.
Research Results: Based on the results and discussion of 5 journals that met the criteria for the study, it was found that static bicycles could improve balance in post stroke patients. On average, this study made positive progress on the balance of post stroke patients who were given static bicycle exercises during their rehabilitation period.
Conclusion: There is an effect of Static Bicycles on the Balance of post Stroke Patient
