Leaf rust resistance in spring barley cultivars and breeding lines.

Abstract

A total of 67 barley cultivars and breeding lines were tested for leaf rust resistance were tested with eight differential isolates. These isolates originated from IHAR Radzików collection and were chosen according to their virulence spectra. Among 67 cultivars and breeding lines 41 (61%) showed resistance reaction after inoculation with at least one isolate of leaf rust.
