Level Set Grids for Hybrid Manufacturing

Abstract

We propose a novel hybrid model, the Level Set Grid, to facilitate parallel additive and subtractive processes in hybrid manufacturing. The Level Set Grid combines the strengths of explicit and implicit representations, offering precise modeling of evolving geometries and fast and efficient collision detection.
