Abstract
El presente artículo analiza las condiciones educativas y laborales de las juventudes rurales deBurruyacu, departamento tucumano que experimentó la mayor expansión de actividades agrícolas para la exportación. Se identifican problemas de abandono escolar e ingreso temprano al mercado de trabajo de los/as jóvenes, ocupaciones precarias y migraciones. Los altos rendimientos de estas producciones no generaron oportunidades para este segmento poblacional.Se examinan fuentes estadísticas y documentales y se realizan estudios de casos en las localidadesde Villa María y Gobernador Piedrabuena, identificando las respuestas estatales y de la propia población tendientes a afrontar las problemáticas que afectan a las juventudes.This paper analyses the educational and labour conditions of young people in the rural areas of the department of Burruyacu in the light of the productive transformations in the last three decades of the 20th century. It is based on the analysis of statistical sources and documents and case studies in the towns of Villa María and Gobernador Piedrabuena. The expansion of agricultural activities for export, and their high yields, did not generate opportunities for this segment of the population. Problems of school dropout and early entry into the labour market of young people, precarious occupations as the only possibility and migration are identified.
