Research, development, and engineering needs for scale management of brinks in geothermal applications

Abstract

The ERDA role in promoting and sponsoring work in scale management will be described in terms of the relationship of this problem area to overall geothermal development. program planning variables, which include considerations of technology transfer, cost of power, technology feasibility and availability, public acceptance, cost sharing, etc., as well as the scheduling required for timely goal achievements are discussed. Examples of some specific problem areas are addressed in terms of the present status of program planning for scale management
