Improving the Green Building Standards in Hong Kong

Abstract

This project, sponsored by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, focused on improving the green building standards in Hong Kong by reviewing the Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) Plus scheme. We identified that the problems between the theoretical and actual implementation of BEAM Plus are caused by low occupant awareness and infrequently achieved standards related to green technologies.
