La información empleada fue obtenida del Reporte Global de Competitividad (en inglés, Global Competitiveness Report) entre los años 2007 y 2020 para los países pertenecientes a América y Europa. En este reporte se expone el Índice Global de Competitividad (GCI, por sus siglas en inglés). Este índice fue establecido en 1979 por el Foro Económico Mundial para determinar la competitividad de los países, sobre la base de criterios seleccionados y se actualiza periódicamente. El último reporte se calculó para 152 países en 2020. Los datos utilizados en el cálculo se obtienen de fuentes como los ministerios cada país, instituciones estadísticas, colaboradores del Foro Económico Mundial, Economist Intelligence Unit y el Fondo Monetario Internacional, entre otras. Así mismo, se obtiene información por medio de la encuesta del Foro Económico Mundial.The information used was obtained from the Global Competitiveness Report between 2007 and 2020 for countries in the Americas and Europe.
