Alby, Field AgriculturistsAmerican Cyanamid Company, Princeton, NJ. 08540.AC 801,757 (MK-239) is an experimental acaricide discovered byMKC which is being co-developed by American Cyanamid Company.The new acaricide is characterized by its low mammalian toxicity,good knockdown and residual properties, and safety to crops. Itis active on egg and motile life stages of mites. In fieldtrials in W. Europe and the United States in 1989-90, AC 801,757at rates of 5-20 g ai/100 liters provided excellent control ofmajor mite pests of fruit and vine crops, such as E_anp.nyc_h.u.s.uj..m_i. It is active on Tetranychng spp. on cotton, Psyllapyricola on pear, and £.Q.irt_Qt.h.rjUs. c_ii.r.i and E.h.yU.o_c.op„txuiaO.l.e..iy.o_r_a. on citrus. Cyanamid expects to introduce this compoundin the United States in the mid 1990's.
