Efektifitas Intervensi Sleep Hygiene Terhadap Kualitas Tidur Lansia di Panti Werdha Kota Salatiga

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Proses penuaan, secara fisiologis memberikan perubahan dan resiko peningkatan penyakit. Sebanyak 28 orang lansia di tiga panti Wredha yang berbeda di Salatiga, mengalami kesulitan saat tidur di malam hari. Padahal, kualitas tidur yang buruk dapat menyebabkan gangguan, seperti: kecenderungan lebih rentan terhadap penyakit, pelupa, konfusi, disorientasi serta menurunnya kemampuan berkonsentrasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi efektifitas sleep hygiene pada gangguan tidur lansia di panti werdha kota salatiga. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design pada lansia di tinggal di Panti Werdha. pada bulan Mei hingga Juni 2023. Sebelum dan sesudah diberikan sleep hygiene. Intervensi sleep hygiene berupa senam dan edukasi, dilakukan selama 5x dalam lima minggu. Kualitas tidur diukur melalui kuesioner PSQI. Hasil penelitian pre-experiment menunjukan 33.21% terjadi peluang gangguan tidur pada lansia dengan kategori terbanyak pada kualitas tidur sedang (64%). Setelah diberikan intervensi sleep hygiene peluang lansia untuk mengalami gangguan tidur turun sebesar 2,89 dan 64 lansia mengalami gangguan tidur ringan. Artinya, adanya perubahan yang signifikan setelah dilakukan intervensi. Kesimpulan sleep hygiene efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada lansia di panti Wredha. Penelitian selanjutnya, diharapkan untuk dapat melakukan pemeriksaan fisik dan laboratorium untuk menunjang hasil kualitas tidur responden.Abstract Background: The ageing process, physiologically, brings about changes and increases the risk of disease. Twenty-eight older adults in three different nursing homes in Salatiga had difficulty sleeping at night. Poor sleep quality can cause disorders, such as being more susceptible to disease, forgetfulness, confusion, disorientation and decreased concentration ability. The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of sleep hygiene on elderly sleep disorders in Salatiga City nursing homes. The research method is a quasi-experiment with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design on older people living in the Werdha Home. from May to June 2023, before and after being given sleep hygiene. Sleep hygiene intervention in the form of gymnastics and education was carried out five times in five weeks. Sleep quality was measured through the PSQI questionnaire. The results of the pre-experiment study showed a 33.21% chance of sleep disturbance in older people, with the most categories in moderate sleep quality (64%). After being given a sleep hygiene intervention, the chances of the elderly experiencing sleep disturbances decreased by 2.89 and 64 of the elderly experienced mild sleep disturbances. This means that there is a significant change after the intervention. Conclusion Sleep hygiene effectively improves sleep quality in older people in Wredha homes. Future research is expected to conduct physical and laboratory examinations to support the respondent's sleep quality results
