Abstract

This investigation was undertaken to study the moulding characteristics of sand received from M/S Model Foundry, Guindy, Madras-32. The sand, as received was dull brown in colour. Standard methods as specified by the American Foundry men’s Society for testing Sand were employed throughout the investigation using the Metrimplex Hungarian Sand Testing Equipments.
