The Biblical Doctrine of Life After Death: Immortality or Resurrection

Abstract

This thesis concerns the biblical doctrine of life after death. The issue to be resolved is whether the biblical doctrine of life after death is expressed in terms of man\u27s inherent immortality or is expressed as a hope for personal resurrection from the dead. The goal of the thesis is to describe the biblical doctrine of life after death and present it in such a way that it is particularly relevant to our society. In the paper, the question of immortality or resurrection is presented in chapter one. The conclusion of the chapter is that immortality grows out of a dualistic anthropology, whereas resurrection grows out of a monistic anthropology
