Integrasi Budaya pada Masyarakat Etnis Batak ke Jawa di Perum Citra Jaya Wonogiri

Abstract

With the cultural differences between the Javanese and Batak ethnic groups, Perum Citra Jaya is able to create a high level of tolerance so as to prevent conflicts between ethnic groups. This study aims to determine cultural acculturation that occurs by analyzing how integration is formed in the Batak and Javanese ethnicities in the Perum Citra Jaya environment. This research use descriptive qualitative method. The theory used in this study is the theory of cultural acculturation by Berry and social integration theory by Talcott Parson. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with four research subject who were Javanese and Batak residents at Perum Citra Jaya. Data collection is done by observation and interviews. The result of this study are that cultural acculutration that occurs in Javanese and Batak communitiea at Perum Citra Jaya occurs with social integration where intercultural communication becomes an important part of disclosing differenves and background between ethnicities with a multiculturalism method, each of which of these individuals retain their culture while interacting with other cultures. Thic multiculturalism can be seen from the good communication that exists between Javanese and Batak people and the social activities that are often carried out together
