Abstract
In this essay, we start from the recent discussions on the government acts and documents regarding the national common curricular basis and the reform of the of the Brazilian high school teaching program to, from a text first presented as a chapter of our master’s thesis, sustain a thesis that the contents of the discipline Portuguese Language is under two discursive orders: that which we call here traditional discourse on Portuguese language teaching content (DPT) and the discourse on the Portuguese Language teaching contents arising out the functionalist linguistics (DELF). For so, we do a critical review of the official documents on Portuguese Language teaching parameters that were published at the end of the decade 1990 and in the years 2000, as well as on the work of three authors representatives of a more political version of the applied linguistics, which also were published in this last mentioned period of Brazilian education.Neste ensaio, partimos das discussões recentes sobre atos e documentos governamentais a respeito da Base Nacional Comum Curricular e da reforma do Ensino Médio para, a partir de um texto primeiramente apresentado como capítulo de nossa dissertação de mestrado, sustentarmos a tese de que o conteúdo da disciplina Língua Portuguesa da educação básica se constitui sob a ordem de dois discursos: o que aqui denominamos de discurso pedagógico tradicional sobre o conteúdo de língua portuguesa (DPT) e o discurso sobre o conteúdo de língua portuguesa advindo dos estudos linguísticos de cunho funcionalista (DELF). Para tanto, fazemos uma revisão crítica dos documentos oficiais de parametrização do ensino de português, que foram publicados nos fins da década de 1990 e anos 2000, bem como de obras de três autores, representantes de uma versão mais política da Linguística Aplicada ao Ensino de Língua Portuguesa, que também vieram à luz nesse último período mencionado da educação brasileira.
