Abstract

The Helpful medal is a part of a twelve-medal collection designed by Norman Rockwell. On the medal\u27s obverse, a Boy Scout in uniform is shown helping a young boy and woman with directions. He stands with a map in his proper left hand and points with his proper right. The boy and woman standing looking over the Scout\u27s shoulder at the map. A car is shown in the medal\u27s background.
