La determinación temporal del enunciado (VII): El subsistema 5

Abstract

El subsistema 5 corresponde a los determinadores que poseen las marcas generales: temporal (en sentido estricto), no comparativo, no modal, no durativo y con determinación de repetición. Y también unas marcas específicas que dan lugar al siguiente conjunto de oposiciones: ± relación con un orden numérico, ± presuposición, ± evento determinador de la estructura performativa (inicial / medial), ± necesariamente sin interrupción, relacionado con el decir de la estructura performativa / relacionado con el suceder de la estructura performativa, anterior a cualquier otro suceso / posterior a cualquier otro suceso y ± negación. De la unión de estas oposiciones específicas y las marcas generales surge un subsistema de quince tipos diferentes de determinadores. Pero el sentido total del subsistema 5 está determinado por su oposición al subsistema 4 –fundada sobre la marca sin determinación de repetición (subsistema 4) / con determinación de repetición (subsistema 5)– y por su oposición al subsistema 6, pues este tiene la marca durativo, ausente del subsistema 5.Subsystem 5 deals with the determiners which gather the following general features: (strictly) temporal, non-comparative, non-modal, non-durative, determining repetition. As far as their specific marks are concerned, these determiners can be described by means of the next oppositions: ± related to a numeric order, ± presupposition, ± event determining the performative structure (initial/medial), ± necessarily without any interruption, related to the performative verb / related to event verb in the performative structure, anterior to any other event / posterior to any other event, ± negation. If we link these specific oppositions with the aforementioned general features, we can set out fifteen different types of determiners. Nonetheless, the comprehensive meaning of subsystem 5 is determined by its opposition to subsystem 4 –which is based on the feature without determining repetition (subsystem 4) / with determining repetition (subsystem 5)– and by its opposition to subsystem 6, since this one contains the feature durative which is absent from subsystem 5
