Antologizzare è una tecnica culturale, cioè un insieme di operazioni simboliche e auto-referenziali che ha in sé la propria ragione d’essere, che eleva a contenuto le proprie scelte. Se però il contenuto di un’antologia è ciò che determina l’antologia stessa, è vero anche che un’antologia trasforma ciò che contiene. Queste trasformazioni variano a seconda dei paradigmi culturali verso cui si orienta chi prepara e allestisce l’antologia. Questo saggio esplora tre paradigmi che hanno plasmato il periodo a cavallo tra i due millenni: il museo, l’atlante e l’incantesimo.To anthologize is a cultural technique, comprising a set of symbolic and self-referential operations that inherently justify themselves, elevating their choices to content.
