Bonifiche e regimazioni idrauliche tra pianificazione e gestione del territorio

Abstract

International audienceThe aim of this study is to deal with the question of roman and medieval interventions on the territory. It will be considered with regard to the ideas, complementary but distinct, of territorial planning and territorial management, as they have recently been defined by the modern Town Planning Discipline. The study area is the Po plain, in Northern Italy, whose agrarian morpho-logy was radically transformed by roman centuriation. The role of medieval Commons in the transmission or transformation of the ancient morph ology has particularly been considered.L’articolo propone una rilettura dei principali interventi sul territorio realizzati in età romana e medievale, alla luce dei concetti, complementari ma ben distinti, di pianificazione e di gestione territoriale, quali sono stati formalizzati nell’ambito della moderna Urbanistica. Il settore di studio prescelto è la pianura del Po, in Italia settentrionale, interessata da importanti interventi sul dise-gno del territorio messi in atto con la centuriazione romana, ma anche sostanziali trasformazioni in età Medievale, principalmente legate all’attività dei Comuni
