Driving behaviours in immersive Virtual Environments: a pilot study about the relations beween Presence, Workload and Simulation Sickness

Abstract

This study was carried along with another one, which aimed to measure neural activation while driving in a CAVE virtual environment. Presence, Simulation Sickness and Mental Workload scores were derived from subjects through self-reported questionnaires. The statistical analyses of the results could highlight the interactions between these constructs, which are considered to be important in the validation process of the simulator and to assess the ecological validity of the experiment itself
