APLIKASI LET’S READ TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA CEPAT SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Indonesian language learning at school require students to get information from the text quickly. However, the reading skills of grade IV students are still low. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of the let's read application on the speed reading skills of fourth grade students at SD Ma'arif Sumberejo. The research method uses a quantitative pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Postet Design. The research population was all fourth grade students at SD Ma'arif Sumberejo, totaling 21 students consisting of 10 boys and 11 girls and the sampling technique used was saturated sampling. The data collection method uses comprehension questions before and after the application of the let's read application. The analysis technique used hypothesis testing paired sample t-test. The results showed that the significant value of the t test was 0.001 which is lower than the 5% significance level. Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in the speed reading skills of grade IV students after using the let's read application.
