The theme of this article is to understand the knowledge about Financial Management, of the MSE's located on Rua da Resistência do Bairro da Paz in Salvador, carried out between the months of September and October 2022. From the following research question: What is the level of knowledge of the micro and small entrepreneurs of Rua da Resistência do Bairro da Paz about Financial Management? The main General Objective is to evaluate the level of basic knowledge about Financial Management and Accounting of the merchants of Rua da Resistência in Bairro da Paz. The research is qualitative and quantitative with a descriptive nature and was developed with the application of a questionnaire in person in 64 establishments divided between commercial and service providers on Rua da Resistência. The questionnaire was divided into 03 parts and sought to understand, respectively, the characterization of the company, the profile of the respondent and the level of knowledge about some terms of Accounting and Financial Management. As a result of the research, after analyzing the data collected through a questionnaire applied to the representatives of the companies on Rua da Resistência, it was detected that most of them still have difficulties in carrying out financial management, whether due to lack of technical knowledge or lack of knowledge of the benefits that can be generated by using financial management tools. It is concluded that the level of knowledge about Financial Management of the traders in Rua da Resistência in Bairro da Paz is low and that they need training so that they can use the correct tools to improve the financial situation of their companies.O tema deste artigo é compreender o conhecimento sobre Gestão Financeira, das MPE´s localizadas na Rua da Resistência do Bairro da Paz em Salvador, realizado entre os meses de setembro e outubro de 2022. A partir da seguinte questão de pesquisa: Qual o nível de conhecimento dos micro e pequenos empresários da Rua da Resistência do Bairro da Paz sobre Gestão Financeira? O principal Objetivo Geral é o de avaliar o nível de conhecimento básico sobre Gestão Financeira e de Contabilidade dos comerciantes da Rua da Resistência do Bairro da Paz. A pesquisa é do tipo quali-quantitativa de cunho descritivo e foi desenvolvida com aplicação de questionário pessoalmente em 64 estabelecimentos divididos entre comerciais e prestadores de serviço da Rua da Resistência. O questionário foi dividido em 03 partes e buscou entender, respectivamente, a caracterização da empresa, o perfil do respondente e o nível de conhecimento sobre alguns termos de Contabilidade e Gestão Financeira. Como resultado da pesquisa foi detectado, após analisar os dados coletados por meio de questionário aplicado aos representantes das empresas da Rua da Resistência, que a maioria deles ainda possuem dificuldades para realização da gestão Financeira, seja por falta de conhecimento técnico, seja por desconhecimento do benefício que pode ser gerado na utilização das ferramentas da gestão Financeira. Conclui-se que o nível de conhecimento sobre Gestão Financeira dos comerciantes da Rua da Resistência do Bairro da Paz é baixo e que eles necessitam de capacitação para que possam utilizar as ferramentas corretas para melhorar a situação financeira de suas empresas
