This article is part of the master's research carried out by us, where we analyze the context in which the city of Sobral was found, its cultural transformations, its political, economic and social scenario from the songs of the Mandacaru Festival, the main music festival in the city during the 1970s (mainly) 1980s, trying to understand the subjectivities expressed by the songs, understanding music as an event, since the city was in a moment of cultural effervescence, trying to understand this through the sensitivity of the songs.O presente artigo é parte da pesquisa de mestrado realizada por nós, onde analisamos o contexto em que se encontrava a cidade de Sobral, suas transformações culturais, seu cenário político, econômico e social a partir das canções do Festival Mandacaru, principal festival de música da cidade durante as décadas de 1970 (principalmente) 1980, buscando entender as subjetividades expressas pelas canções, entendendo a música como um acontecimento, visto que a cidade se encontrava em um momento de efervescência cultural, procurando entender isso por meio da sensibilidade das canções
