An influx of Australian Shelducks Tadorna tadornoides on Macquarie Island during December 2006 and January 2007 probably coincided with movement of these ducks from Australia during drought conditions. The only two records previously were of one and five individuals, whereas up to 55 individuals were recorded in December 2006
