Box 513, 5600 MB Eindhoven, the NetherlandsIntroductionThe present study is a continuation of the ongoingproject to utilise vegetable fibres (e.g. flax) as a re-inforcement for composites based on plastic matri-ces. The objective is to optimise macro-mechanicalproperties through a micro-mechanical study of flaxfibre reinforced polypropylene (PP) based compos-ites.
