Contemporary ethics referring to the category of truth is rare. For this reason, the ethical theory with a category of truth at its very centre stands out among others. The theory of Polish philosopher Tadeusz Styczeń (1931–2010) is such ethics of truth, in which the truth has a normative character. The French philosopher Alain Badiou (born 1937) also refers to the normative power of truth in ethics. However, he understands the truth in a completely different way. In both Styczeń’s and Badiou’s thoughts, the issue of truth is closely related to the concept of duty. It cannot be denied that the philosophies of these thinkers are different from each other, but there are some similarities between them. The aim of this article is to present convergent points in the ethics of Tadeusz Styczeń and Alain Badiou. Both thinkers claim that a man who remains faithful to a discovered truth or event as a moral subject remains free, avoids evil, and is a person or an Immortal.Współczesna etyka coraz rzadziej odwołuje się do kategorii prawdy – z tego powodu zainteresowanie budzić może każda propozycja etyczna, której twórca umieszcza kategorię prawdy w samym jej centrum. Na gruncie polskim taką etyką prawdy jest teoria Tadeusza Stycznia (1931-2010), w której prawda ma charakter normatywny. Do normatywnej mocy prawdy w etyce, choć rozumie on prawdę w zupełnie inny sposób, odwołuje się także francuski filozof Alain Badiou (ur. 1937). Zarówno w myśli Stycznia, jak i Badiou zagadnienie prawdy jest ściśle związane z pojęciem powinności. Nie da się ukryć, że filozofie tych myślicieli są od siebie różne, ale można dostrzec między nimi pewne podobieństwa. Celem tego artykułu jest ukazanie zbieżnych punktów w filozofiach Tadeusza Stycznia i Alaina Badiou.
