The aim of the article is the analysis and interpretation of discourses about the gymnasium students featured in the interviews, which were conducted in three age groups: youth, adults and seniors. The typology of Helena Ostrowicka was used for the analysis, including discourses of competence, cartography and condition. The analysis here showed the existence of all types of discourses, although the dominant one is the discourse of condition in which young people are defined as a problem. Differences were also revealed in the definition of youth, depending on age.Celem artykułu jest analiza oraz interpretacja dyskursów o młodzieży gimnazjalnej zawartych w wywiadach, które zostały przeprowadzone w trzech grupach wiekowych: młodzieży, dorosłych oraz seniorów. Do analizy została wykorzystana typologia Heleny Ostrowickiej, w skład której wchodzą: dyskurs kompetencji, kartografii oraz kondycji. Analizy wykazały istnienie wszystkich typów dyskursów, natomiast dominujący jest dyskurs kondycji, w ramach którego młodzież definiowana jest jako problem.
