Development of RIVET analysis plugins for the ALICE experiment and comparison of the experimental results with simulated Monte Carlo data

Abstract

In this project, the RIVET framework was used in a specific ALICE analysis, in the article "Measurement of beauty and charm production in pp collisions at s=5.02\sqrt{s}= 5.02 TeV via non-prompt and prompt D mesons'', in addition to data from HEPData tables. For this, macros in C++ were developed using the multiple functions of the framework. The experimental results were compared using Monte Carlo simulations, obtained through the PYTHIA8 generator using tunes Monash and enhanced colour reconnection Mode 0 and Mode2, and simulated for the analysis that will later be published on the framework website
