We survey research on social augmented reality. The focus is on the use of smart augmented reality glasses during social interactions. How to deal with disruptions caused by the use of glasses? How can glasses support the interaction? Technological developments are discussed. Observations are presented on the future use of augmented reality glasses in public spaces
