In 2015, the Dutch Neuro-Oncology Working Group produced the multidisciplinary evidence-based guideline 'Spinal metastasis'. The guideline applies to patients with spinal metastases of solid tumours and patients with spinal localisations of haematological malignancies. This article gives a short overview of some key recommendations in the areas of diagnostics, treatment and follow-up.</p
