MV grid reconfiguration simulation with varying daily demand conditions

Abstract

W artykule przedstawiono propozycję wykorzystania łączników zdalnie sterowalnych do obniżenia strat energii elektrycznej w sieci SN przy uwzględnieniu dobowych zmian zapotrzebowania. Porównano wartości strat energii elektrycznej na analizowanym fragmencie sieci przy założeniu braku ingerencji dyspozytora w układ pracy sieci, rekonfiguracji sieci zgodnie z opracowanym wcześniej harmonogramem oraz rekonfiguracji sieci w odpowiedzi na aktualne zmiany zapotrzebowania.DSOs are seeking for MV grid reliability improvements in order to decrease occurrence of power supply interruptions and improve voltage quality. As a result, the automatization of medium voltage grid is progressing. In parallel, independently from grid improvements plans, the amount of distributed generation installed power is increasing. This leads to loading and voltage variations. The inversed power flows are more common as they are depended on the correlation between demand and availability of energy source, like wind and sunshine. There is an expectation that battery energy storage and electric vehicle, new types of objects connected to power system, will have a crucial impact on the grid performance at near future. There is a need to develop smart solutions due to fact, that MV grid development is not economically effective way to deal with all new problems. The proposal of MV grid operation improvement will be presented in the article. Remote controlled switches together with measurement devices will be utilized to reconfiguration of the grid as a response to varying demand. The scheduled and on-line reconfiguration operation schemes will be taken into consideration. Finally, the grid performance for aforementioned operation schemes will be executed and compared
