An approach to gender from Butler’s and Connell’s re-readings of women’s political leadership in Latin America

Abstract

Este artículo tuvo como objetivo deconstruir a nivel teórico-conceptual los liderazgos políticos femeninos a partir de la variable de género como categoría analítica desde los aportes teóricos-epistemológicos de Judith Butler (1956) y Raewyn Connel (1944). Se realizó una investigación cualitativa, que por medio de una revisión conceptual de sus obras más importantes, logró explorar a profundidad las bases epistemológicas de sus teorías para cruzarlas con categorías de liderazgo femenino.The objective of this article was to deconstruct at a theoretical-conceptual level female political leadership from the gender variable as an analytical category from the theoretical-epistemological contributions of Judith Butler (1956) and Raewyn Connel (1944). Qualitative research was carried out, which through a conceptual review of their most important works, managed to explore in depth the epistemological bases of her theories to cross them with categories of female leadership
