Zur Bestimmung des Metallgehaltes von Konservenprodukten pflänzlichen und tierischen Ursprungs wurden vergleichende Untersuchungen mit Quadratwellen- und Wechselstrompolarographie, ferner mit Spektrophotometrie durchgeführt. Die entwickelten polarographischen Methoden ermöglichen eine gleichzeitige Bestimmung des Zinns und des Kupfers vom denselben Muster nach seinem Aufschluss mit Schwefelsäure und Salpetersäure. Die vergleichenden Untersuchungen bestätigten im Fall beider Metalle, dass kein nachweisbarer Unterschied zwischen den drei Methoden besteht. Die Einführung von polarographischen Methoden wird durch die Einfachkeit und Geschwindigkeit der Messung begründet. Comparative investigations were carried out for the determination of the metal content of preserves of vegetable and animal origin, on applying square-wave and alternating current polarography or spectrophotometry. The developed polarographic methods make possible the simultaneous determination of tin and copper from the same sample after its digestion with sulphuric and nitric acids. The comparative investigations proved in case of both metals that no difference is detectable between the results obtained by any of the mentioned three methods. The introduction of the polarographic methods is reasonable due to the simplex nature and quickness of the measurement
