It covers research topics suchas advanced materials synthesis, nanocatalysis and char-acterization, wastewater treatment, renewable energy, aswell as enhanced extraction and separation.Finally, we would like to thank all the invited authors fortheir outstanding contributions to this issue and the re-viewers for theirmost valuable comments.
