Clearly, the issue of government legislation of morality is a relevant issue in American society today. It is a complicated issue, to be sure, but it is a question that is deserving of time and contemplation. In this paper, I will argue that not only should the government be allowed to legislate morality, but that it is imperative that it does. Additionally, I will refute common disputes against this stance, as well as delve into the intricacies of the implementation of this policy.
