The article delves into the rich history of journalism in the subcontinent, with a specific focus on the Pakistan Times. The publication, founded in 1947, played a pivotal role in shaping the discourse and narrative of the people. Subcontinent face the issue of political and social consciousness during the 20th century when people were at the stake of survival as Muslims. The newspapers were the most trusted and effective method of delivering information, at the same time Muslim League also focused to disseminate their standpoint on the issue of the subcontinent’s partition. At the time Progressive Papers Limited started its journey, Pakistan Times is one of them. This article elucidates the first issue of Pakistan times that was published on 4 Feb 1947.
