The research thesis illustrates the process of creating a relational database concerning the professors who taught at the University of Cagliari, from its re-foundation in 1764, up to 1946, the year of the cessation of the Royal University. The objectives of the database are: to promote knowledge of the history of the University of Cagliari, to enrich the portal of the Historical Archive, to facilitate access to data relating to the professors of the University of Cagliari
