Abstract
The article deals with legal issues related to the use of armed force in international relations, examines modern doctrines of the use of force, studies the legal aspects of interference in the internal affairs of the state, the problems of the correlation of the principles of international law. The evolution of the category “aggression” and its international legal definition is investigated, as well as an analysis of the main provisions of modern concepts of the right to selfdefense in the context of a changed understanding of aggression
