Abstract

<i>Eoexechia</i> gen. n. <p>(Figs 1–3)</p> <p>urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: A785CF8A-E9CE-48FA-9CC3-E251D9941A35</p> <p> <b>Type species.</b> <i>Eoexechia gallica</i> <b>sp. n.</b></p> <p> <b>Diagnosis.</b> Antenna very long, with flagellomeres as broad as long; three ocelli; frontal furrow very short, confined to back of head; frontal tubercle bilobate and broad; hind tibial apical brush produced across tibia; well-developed empodium; costal vein distinctly produced beyond tip of R5; Sc twice as long as h; R1 short; M2 long.</p> <p> <b>Etymology.</b> Named after the Eocene period and the genus <i>Exechia</i>.
