Assessment of a cellular structure in an indoor environment using models extracted from measurements at 1.9G Hz in the Electrical Engineering department of the Delft University of Technology

Abstract

The cell size and cluster structure are evaluated using an outage probability model which is based on the measurements at the 19th floor of the faculty of Electrical Engineering, TU-Delft. An analytical expression for the relationship between the Rice factor and the multipath component is derived. This expression is checked using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov best fit test. Outage probability calculations are done in case of multiple Rician and multiple Rayleigh interference without shadow fading. It is shown that the outage probability calculation based on Rayleigh interferers with different local mean power corresponds best to the measured signal behaviour.Applied SciencesElectrical EngineeringTelecommunications and Traffic-Control Systems Grou
