新加坡式幽默翻译 :以新传媒5频道节目《绞索》为例 = Translating Singapore humour : a case study of mediacorp's "The Noose"

Abstract

在现今网路通常与发达的社会,影视的迅速传播与发展,使字幕的需求的日渐增长。许多研究也针对了不少的影视的幽默翻译进行各方面的研究。研究的同时了解到新加坡幽默并未有固定的意思,甚至没有很多人会在这方面进行研究与讨论。 因此,本文将通过新加坡式的幽默来作为基础分为三个大方向——双关语、讽刺时事以及口音,进行幽默翻译探讨。本文夜会以新传媒5频道的经典喜剧节目之一《绞索》(The Noose)作为讨论新加坡式幽默的例子。从中探讨当中的字幕翻译所带出来的幽默效果,并发现现有的字幕翻译引众多的限制是有改进的空间的,大部分使用的翻译策略为直译,再来是意译与音译。新加坡式幽默的翻译并不稳定却因社交媒体的蓬勃发展而在不断的继续发展。 In today's society, the increasing development of film and television caused the demand for subtitles to increase rapidly. Many studies focused on the humour translation of movies and TV shows. At the same time, where Singapore humour is not vastly discussed. Therefore, using Singapore humour, this paper divides it into three major components, puns, satire and accents that discusses its’ humour translation. This paper had chosen Mediacorp’s Channel all-time classic comedy, The Noose, to discuss Singaporean humour and translation. While analysing subtitle translation and its effect of maintain its humour, the only available platform that provides Chinese subtitles for The Noose still have room for improvement. The main translation method used by the translator are literal translation, followed by free translation and transliteration. Although, the translation of Singaporean humour is unstable but it developing constantly due to increased media exposure.Bachelor of Arts in Chines
