Work-related exposure to cytostatics

Abstract

Zawodowe narażenie na leki cytostatyczne stanowi ważny problem medycyny pracy i ochrony zdrowia pracowników zakładów opieki zdrowotnej. Narażenie takie występuje podczas procesów wytwarzania chemioterapetyków oraz podczas ich stosowania w codziennej praktyce leczniczej oddziałów onkologicznych oraz hematologicznych. W artykule zostały przedstawione obecnie stosowane metody monitoringu biologicznego ekspozycji, poglądy dotyczące skutków zdrowotnych zawodowego narażenia na cytostatyki oraz podstawy prawne działań profilaktycznych w tej dziedzinie.Road accidents are a serious problem of the Work-related exposure to cytostatics poses a serious problem in terms of occupational medicine and protecting employees of healthcare facilities. Exposure occurs during the process of manufacturing chemotherapeutic drugs and in their application in daily medical practice of oncological and hematological departments. This paper presents current methods used in biological monitoring of exposure, opinions on the health effects of work-related exposure to cytostatics and legal grounds for prophylaxis in this area
