The Bank will thus take the necessary steps with the Ministry of Economy and Finance for the redemption of the above mentioned instruments by 30 June 2013. Note that the Bank of Italy has also authorised an amendment to art. 17 of BPM's Articles of Association, which was approved by the General Meeting of Members on 22 June, relating to a rights issue of ordinary shares of up to Euro 500 million (including any share premium) to be offered to current shareholders.
