Abstract
El objetivo del estudio es revisar y evaluar sistemáticamente la
literatura relacionada con las estrategias de enseñanza incidental en atletas
nóveles y expertos en el aprendizaje de habilidades relacionadas con el ba-
loncesto, con objeto de analizar los efectos subyacentes entre dos procesos
cognitivos diferentes en el aprendizaje y el rendimiento. Durante el proce-
so de búsqueda se consultaron las bases de datos Web of Science, Scopus,
SportDiscus y PsycInfo, además de otras fuentes de investigación, siendo
inalmente seleccionados 26 estudios. Los resultados indican que, en líneas
generales, reducir la cantidad de información que procesan los jugadores
produce un efecto positivo en el aprendizaje y el rendimiento. Los atletas
con nivel de experiencia bajo en el dominio de una habilidad se beneician
de un estilo de enseñanza que favorezca un aprendizaje incidental. Los atle-
tas expertos se basan en un procesamiento más intuitivo que los jugadores
nóveles.Abstract: he aim of the study is to review and systematically evaluate the
literature related to the strategies of incidental teaching in young athletes
and experts in the learning of skills related to basketball, in order to analyze
the underlying efects between two diferent cognitive processes in learning
and performance. During the search process, the Web of Science, Scopus,
SportDiscus and PsycInfo databases were consulted, in addition to other
research sources, and 26 studies were inally selected. he results indicate
that, in general, reducing the amount of information processed by players
produces a positive efect on learning and performance. Athletes with low
experience in the mastery of a skill beneit from a teaching style that favors
incidental learning. Expert athletes rely on more intuitive processing than
novice players
