The Place and the significance of deya al-deen Ibn Al-Atheer and his publicatıon titled Kefayato’t-Taleb Fe Naḳde Kalame Eshaery We’l-Kateb in the arabic literature

Abstract

MakaleZiyâuddîn İbnu’l-Esîr, İbnu’l-Esîr künyesiyle meşhur olan üç kardeşin en küçüğü olup belagat ve tenkid alanında uzmanlaşmıştır. Vezir olmasından dolayı siyasetin içinde yaşamış olsa da ilimle ilişkisini sürdürmüş ve belagat, fesahat, tenkid, inşâ usulü gibi alanlarda pekçok risâle ve ilmî eser kaleme almıştır. Bu araştırmada, Ziyâuddîn İbnu’l-Esîr’in (ö. 637/1239), XIII. yy.da belagat ve kitabet alanında kaleme almış olduğu Kifâyetu’ṭ-ṭâlib fî naḳdi kelâmi’ş-şâʿir ve’l-kâtib adlı eserin Arap dilindeki yeri ve önemi incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bundan dolayı araştırmanın başında İbnu’l-Esîr’in yaşadığı dönemdeki ilmî ve kültürel durum kısaca anlatılmış, hayatı ve eserleri hakkında da genel bilgiler verilmiştir.Deya Al-Deen Ibn Al-Atheer (d. 637/1239) is the smallest of three siblings who are known with the Ibn Al-Atheer identity and specialized in declamation and criticism. Although he had his part in politics since he was a vizier, he sustained his ties with science and published scientific booklets and articles in many fields such as declamation, fluency, criticism, and construction.In this study, we examine the significance of the publication of Deya Al-Deen Ibn Al-Athee titled Kefayato’t-Taleb fe Naḳde Kalame Eshaery We’l-Kateb in the Arabic literature, in field of declamation and literary composition, written in XIIIth century. To this end, a brief overview of the era and the status of the scientific and cultural standing are depicted, as well as the life and publications of Deya Al-Deen Ibn Al-Atheer at the introductory session of this manuscript
